On January 25, 2013, the owner of a 2008 Honda CRV discovered that his vehicle was stolen from where he parked it in San Jose, California.  San Jose Police verified the crime information and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle. 

On November 29, 2012 the owner of a 2008 Honda CRV contacted the New York Police Department’s 68th Precinct in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to report her Honda stolen. According to the owner, she had parked her car in front of her house and inadvertently left her purse on the front seat with an extra key
