The Baltimore, MD residents in this case discovered their 2011 Hyundai
Sonata missing just after 9 pm on a Friday night. Thanks to the LoJack® system installed when they purchased the car, their weekend wasn’t ruined. With LoJack’s help, police recovered the vehicle in less than 90 minutes after activation.

On March 21st, 2014, the Hyundai’s owner contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Sonata, which was installed at Heritage Hyundai in Towson, MD, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, patrol officers from the BCPD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Hyundai on Fallsway in Baltimore, where it was parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Sonata was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owners.
