Late on a recent Sunday morning, the owners of a Honda Civic in Lawrence, MA, discovered it missing from outside their residence, where they had parked it the previous evening. These victims were grateful for the LoJack® system installed in their vehicle, which helped local police recover it that same day.

On March 9th, 2014, the Honda’s owners reported the crime to the Lawrence Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Autosport Honda in Bridgewater, NJ.

A short while later, MA State Troopers from the Holden Barracks picked up the k homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles, while in the area of Route 290 in Worcester. The troopers located the Honda on Newton St. in Worcester, where it was parked and unoccupied. The Civic was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owners.
