Lawrence, Massachusetts Police Recover Stolen Honda Accord in One Hour, Seven Minutes, with Help from the LoJack® System

The owners of a 2012 Honda Accord in Lowell, MA discovered their car missing from outside their residence on a recent Saturday evening. These victims’ decision to have the LoJack® system installed on their vehicle just about a year before turned out to be an great idea. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the car in just over one hour after activation.

On February 1st, 2014, the Honda’s owners contacted the Lowell Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Herb Chambers Honda in Burlington, MA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Lawrence PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located at the intersection of Canterbury Street and Olive Avenue, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owners.
