It was Friday afternoon, just before 4:30 pm, when the Phoenix, AZ resident in this case arrived home and discovered his Chevrolet Colorado was missing. It was then that this victim discovered what a good decision it was to have the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his truck. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered his pickup in just 75 minutes after activation.

On February 7th, 2014, the Chevy’s owner called Phoenix Police to report the crime. The stolen vehicle information was then entered into the NCIC police computer. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Midway Chevrolet in Phoenix, AZ.

A short while later, officers with the Phoenix PD began picking up the homing signal from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their police vehicles. The officers were joined by Arizona Department of Public Safety officers on I-17, where they found the Chevy traveling northbound. The officers performed a traffic stop and took one suspect into custody. The Colorado was retrieved and soon returned to its owner.
