Very early in the morning on Christmas Eve, the Dallas, TX resident in this case got a very unpleasant surprise- his Honda CBR1000 motorcycle was missing from his apartment complex parking lot. The LoJack® system that he had installed when he bought his bike saved the day- not only did LoJack help police located the bike in just three hours after activation, but it also led them to a suspected chop shop with several other stolen vehicles as well.

On December 24th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Dallas Police to report the crime.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the CBR1000, which was installed at Dallas Honda in Dallas, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the stolen Honda in an automobile repair shop.  Inside the premises, there were four other vehicles reported as stolen- another motorcycle, two cars and a truck. The investigation is ongoing. The CBR1000 was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owner.
