When the owner of a 2009 Infiniti G37 parked his car in a paid parking lot on Black Friday 2013, he probably thought it was perfectly safe. Unfortunately, he was perfectly wrong, and his vehicle was gone when he returned to the lot. Our victim was prepared for this problem- he had the LoJack® system installed when he bought his car. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered it that same day.

On November 27th, 2013, the Infiniti’s owner contacted the Dallas Police to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the G37, which was installed at Ray Brandt Infiniti in Metairie, LA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Infiniti to a parking garage, where they found it parked and abandoned on the first level. The G37 was soon returned to its relieved owner.
