The owners of the Lexus ES 350 in this case had a very rude awakening one recent Monday morning when they exited their home to go to work and found their vehicle had been stolen overnight. The LoJack® system they had installed when purchasing their car certainly can in handy- with LoJack’s help, police recovered it in less than three and a half hours after activation!

On October 28th, 2013, the owner of the Lexus contacted the Baltimore City Police to report the crime. BCPD officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the ES 350, which was installed at Lexus of Alexandria, VA.

After a short period of time, officers from the BCPD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Lexus to the rear of a building on Erdman Avenue in Baltimore City. They found the car there parked and unoccupied. The undamaged ES 350 was recovered and soon returned to its relieved owner.
