In this case, a Lexus E35 is stolen from the owner’s residence in the Dorchester section of Boston one Tuesday evening. Local police, with the help of the LoJack® system, are able to recover the vehicle in a little over a half hour after activation.

On August 27th, 2013, the owner of the Lexus contacted Boston Police District C-11 to report that her vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the E35, which was installed at Herb Chambers Lexus in Sharon, MA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Boston PD and the Massachusetts State Police picked up the homing signals from the Lexus on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the car to Livermore St. in Mattapan. The E35 was parked and unoccupied and was soon returned to its very happy owner.
