A Ford F-350 pickup is stolen from a Miami, FL repair shop in this case. Luckily, the owner had the LoJack® system installed when she purchased her truck so the police were able to locate it in just a half hour after activation.

On August 5th, 2013, the Ford’s owner contacted Miami, FL police after the repair shop discovered her vehicle was missing. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the F-350, which was installed at Maroone Ford of Miami, FL, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Miami PD officer picked up the homing signal from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer requested backup and located the vehicle parked and abandoned on Flagler Street. The F-350 had only ignition damage, and was soon returned to its relieved owner.
