It’s very unsettling to wake up in the morning and find that your car is not where you left it the night before. One way to ease that unsettled feeling is to have the LoJack® system installed when purchasing your vehicle, so when it’s stolen, your local law enforcement can track it down quickly.

On July 3rd, 2013, the owner of a 2010 Nissan Rogue contacted the Chicago Police Department to report his vehicle stolen overnight from his residence.  Chicago PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the LEADS/NCIC state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Rogue, which was installed at Star Nissan in Niles, IL, was then automatically activated.

Illinois State Police (ISP) began picking up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Troopers located the vehicle in the area near 35th and Halsted, where it was discovered parked and unoccupied. The Rogue was quickly returned to its rightful owner.
