In this recovery story, a Honda CBR600RR motorcycle stolen in Virginia is recovered the same day in Washington, DC, thanks to the DC Metro Police, assisted by the LoJack® system.

On June 26th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Alexandria Police Department to report that their motorcycle was stolen from their residence. Alexandria PD verified the theft and entered the bike’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the CBR600RR, which was installed at Honda PowerSports of Crofton in Gambrills, MD.

Within a short period of time, officers from the District of Columbia Metropolitan (DC Metro) Police in Washington, DC picked up the homing signals from the stolen bike on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to Mississippi Avenue SE in Washington, DC. The Honda was recovered and soon returned to its grateful owner.
