One of the great features offered by the LoJack® system is not only assisting law enforcement in retrieving stolen vehicles, but locating them quickly. In this case, a 2009 Acura TSX taken in Ontario, CA was located in only two minutes after activation.

On June 23rd, 2013, the Acura’s owner contacted Ontario, CA Police to report the vehicle had been stolen. Ontario PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Metro Acura in Ontario, CA.

A very short while later, a Fullerton PD canine officer picked up the homing signal from the Acura on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. After requesting backup arrived, the officers located the TSX parked and occupied in a parking lot off of Lemon St.  They took the suspect, who had several outstanding warrants, into custody. The undamaged Acura was soon returned to its happy owner.
