This Las Vegas, NV resident had seen his Honda CBR600 earlier that Friday morning, parked where he had left it, so you can imagine his shock when, later that same morning, his bike was no longer there. It’s likely that he was also happy that he had the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his Honda so local law enforcement was able to locate it quickly and recover it undamaged.

On June 14th, 2013, the motorcycle’s owner immediately contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the motorcycle’s VIN (vehicle identification number) into the NCIC Stolen Vehicle System. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed on the Honda, which was installed at Motorsports of Miami, FL.

A short while later, an officer with the with the LVMP South Central Area Command began picking up the homing signal from the bike on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their  patrol vehicle. The bike was found in an apartment complex parking lot near the UNLV campus.  After a brief surveillance, a female suspect got on the CBR600 but was taken into custody before she could drive away. The undamaged motorcycle was soon returned to its grateful owner.
