When something happens in the middle of the night, it seems to make any bad situation worse. Whether you’re woken up from a sound sleep, or returning home after a late night out, finding out that your car has been stolen in the wee hours is like a slap in the face. Luckily for these Denver, CO residents, the LoJack® system never sleeps and is on duty 24-7, so even though the theft was not discovered until almost 1 am, the Denver Police, with the LoJack System’s help, recovered the vehicle in just two hours and five minutes.

On February 23rd, 2013, the owners of a Pontiac G6 contacted the Denver, CO Police to report that their vehicle was stolen. Denver PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Pontiac, which was installed at Spradley Ford Lincoln in Pueblo, CO.

A short while later, officers with the Denver PD picked up the homing signals from the G6 with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to Colfax and Olive Streets, recovered the Pontiac, and soon returned it to its grateful owners.
