The Florida residents who own the Ford F-250 pickup in this case were very glad they chose to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their truck, especially since it was tracked down almost immediately upon activation!

On March 15th, 2013, the F-250’s owners contacted the Miami-Dade, Florida Police to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home. The responding officer entered the vehicle’s information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the truck, which was installed at Plantation Ford in Plantation, FL.

A short while later, a Hialeah, FL police officer picked up the homing signal from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the vehicle to the Opa Locka Airport, where it was found abandoned. The truck was soon returned to its very relieved owners.
