Wednesday is often referred to as ‘Hump Day’ because it’s right in the middle of the week, and getting over it means you have less than half of the work week left. The New Jersey resident in this case had a bigger hump to get over then most people when he tried to go to work Wednesday morning and found his Toyota Camry was gone.

On April 17th, 2013, the car’s owner contacted the Clifton, NJ Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen from his driveway.  The Clifton PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® unit concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Toyota of Morristown, NJ.

Within an hour of activation, a patrol officer from the East Rutherford Police Department picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the vehicle to Paulison Ave. in Passaic, NJ, where he found the vehicle parked and undamaged. The Camry was soon returned to its happy owner.
