One of the best weapons Law Enforcement has against auto thieves is speed. Retrieving a stolen vehicle quickly means the crooks have less time to either damage or dismantle the car. In this case, a 2009 Honda Accord with a LoJack® unit was found only 15 MINUTES after activation!

On March 31st, 2013,   the Accord’s owners contacted the Denver, Colorado Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen during the previous night, but was just discovered missing that morning.

The Denver PD verified the theft and entered the VIN (vehicle identification number) into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Kuni Lexus in Littleton, CO, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers with the Denver PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen Accord with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to the 200 block of Sherman where the car was recovered unoccupied and soon returned to its very happy owners.
