On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, employees of a construction company arrived at a worksite in Glen Mills, PA, to discover that a 2008 Takeuchi Loader left on-site the previous day was missing. The company immediately contacted the Pennsylvania State Police to report the theft.  A PA State Police trooper entered the vehicle’s information into their Police Computer. This automatically activated the LoJack® unit concealed in the stolen loader.

A short while later, investigators from the Auto Task Forces for the PA State Police and Delaware County, PA picked up the homing signals from the stolen Takeuchi on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their undercover police vehicles.  The investigators tracked the LoJack signal to a residential area on Burdett Road in Upper Chichester, where they found the stolen loader parked next to a private residence, where they also apprehended the suspected thief. The Takeuchi was soon returned to its owners.
