The owners of this 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab pickup didn’t wake up when a thief entered their home in the middle of the night and stole their truck keys. Lucky for them, the LoJack® device never sleeps!

On the morning of April 1, 2013, homeowners in Maple Valley, WA residents awoke to find this chaotic situation and immediately contacted the King County Sheriff’s Office. The officers entered the Ram’s vehicle identification number (VIN) into their computer, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Dodge pickup, which was installed at Dodge of Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington.

Just a few minutes later, Renton and Kent PD officers received a signal transmitting from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol cars, and quickly tracked the vehicle to a location in Renton, WA.  The truck was occupied by one male suspect who was sleeping.  He was immediately arrested and booked into jail and the Ram was soon returned to its owner.
