LoJack Aids Seattle Police in Recovery of Nissan 350Z Stolen from Skyway Residence

While the owner of a 2006 Nissan 350Z was on active duty deployment, the vehicle was stolen from his residence in the 8000 block of South 134^th Street in Skyway, Washington.  It was taken sometime after 5:30 a.m. on November 5^th.  The owner’s roommate contacted the King County Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of the vehicle. King County deputies verified the theft and entered the Nissan’s identification number into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle.

A short while later, an officer with the Seattle Police Department received the silent LoJack homing signal transmitting from the stolen Nissan on the Police Tracking Computer installed in his patrol car.  Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computer, the officer quickly tracked the vehicle to the 3800 block of South Mead, where it was found abandoned.  The vehicle was processed for evidence and released to the roommate.

The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Nissan 350Z in October of 2008 at Pinnacle Nissan in Scottsdale, Arizona, when it was purchased as a used car.
