Cadillac Seville Stolen in Oklahoma Recovered in Good Condition in Louisiana Driveway

On June 22, 2012, the owner of a Cadillac Seville contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen from 14000 N. Broadway Extension in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Cadillac.
A short while later, two troopers with the Louisiana State Police picked up the silent LoJack homing signal from the stolen Cadillac on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following directional signals and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the troopers tracked the stolen vehicle to the 100 block of Grove St. in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The troopers observed the Cadillac unoccupied in the driveway of a residence and recovered it in good condition.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Cadillac on June 8, 1998 at Martin Cadillac.
