The owners of a 2015 Land Rover Evoque contacted the El Centro Police Department to report their vehicle stolen in the city of El Centro. El Centro Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Land Rover.

Within six minutes, officers from Cathedral City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Land Rover Evoque with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the area of Ortega Road and Date Palm Drive in the city of Cathedral City.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Land Rover in September 2015 at Santa Ana Auto Group, Santa Ana, California.
