LoJack System Helps Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Recover Stolen Ford Fusion

The owners of a 2017 Ford Fusion contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report their vehicle stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex in the 9700 block of Villa La Mora.  The owners had stored their keys in the car relying on the keypad on the door to enter their vehicle.  Doing this they went inside for the night.  When they returned in the morning they found the Ford missing so they notified the police.   

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Town Center where they located the Ford unoccupied and undamaged.  The Ford was recovered and returned back to the owners. 

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Fusion in September 2019 at Team Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
