LoJack System Helps Henderson Police Department Recover Stolen Dodge Caravan

The owners of a 2007 Dodge Caravan contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from in front of their residence in the 1900 block of Allen.  The owners had started the Dodge and left it running and unsecured while in their residence.  Upon returning to use the Dodge they found it missing so they notified police.   

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

A short while later officers from Henderson Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Strathspey and Ailsa Craig where they located the Dodge unoccupied but undamaged.  The officers then recovered the Dodge and towed it for safekeeping. 

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge in June 2008 and was sold through Direct Sales.
