The owner of a 2019 Range Rover contacted the Davie Police Department to report his vehicle stolen.  The Davie Police verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Land Rover.

Thirty five minutes later officers from the North Miami Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Land Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from their PTCs, the officers tracked the vehicle to a shopping center in 13500 block of NE 3rd Court.  Officers conducted a surveillance around the vehicle but when no one approached, it was recovered before it could be stripped, damaged, or used in a crime. After crime scene, processing it was returned to the owner with no damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Land Rover Range Rover Sport in August 2018 at Land Rover of Fort Lauderdale.
