In what turned out to be a lost car, the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery Network assisted the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in locating this Honda Accord.  The owner of a 2015 Honda Accord contacted the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Charlotte, NC and reported their vehicle stolen.  The owner reported that the vehicle was stolen from a parking garage in the downtown area of Charlotte.  The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

After the Accord was entered into the national crime computer database, Officers were led to the parking garage across the street when the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda was detected with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Honda was tracked to the second level of the parking garage.  It was determined that the owner simply forgot where her vehicle was parked.    The vehicle was returned to the owner and the case was cleared.

LoJack® System was installed in the Honda in September 2015 at Hillside Honda, Jamaica, NY.
