LoJack System Helps Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Recover Stolen Ford F350 within Minutes of Activation

The owners of a 2004 Ford F350 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the street near their home in the 3600 block of Susana. The Ford had been left locked but when they returned to use it they found it missing so they notified police. 

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Eighteen minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Lava and Everett where they found the Ford parked and unoccupied.  The Ford was then recovered by police and returned back to the owners. 

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F350 in December 2011 at Frontier Ford, Anacortes, Washington.
