The owner of a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen from in front of his residence in the 2300 block of Clifford.  The owner had met a female and took her home to his place of residence.  He fell asleep and when he woke up the female along with many of his belongings as well as his Pontiac were missing so he notified the police department.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Pontiac.

Nine minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Pontiac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Escondido and Ralthioest where they located the Pontiac occupied by the female.  The Pontiac was then safely stopped and the female was arrested for the theft.  The Pontiac was recovered and returned back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Pontiac Grand Prix in March 2005 at Enterprise, Van Nuys, California.
