The owners of a 2013 Ford F150 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from in front of their residence in the 10000 block of Sable.  The owners had parked their Ford truck and left the keys inside and left the truck unsecured.  When they returned to use the Ford they found that it was missing so they notified the police department.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers from North Las Vegas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the vehicle to a residential neighborhood in the 2500 block of Country Orchard St. The Ford was located unoccupied and undamaged.  The Ford was recovered by police and towed for safekeeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F150 in May 2016 at Citrus Motors, Ontario, California.
