The owner of a 2013 Ford Fiesta contacted the Vacaville Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The Vacaville Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2013 Ford Fiesta.
A
short while later, investigators with the Solano County Auto Theft Task Force
were working in the city of Vacaville,
when they were alerted to the stolen Ford Fiesta by means of the silent LoJack
signal from the stolen vehicle with the LoJack
Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and
aircraft. Following the
directional and audible cues from the PTC, the stolen vehicle was tracked to
the parking lot of a medical facility on Leisure Town Road, where the vehicle
was found parked, unoccupied.
The stolen Ford Fiesta was recovered by the Solano County Auto Task Force and
the undamaged vehicle was released back the owner at the scene.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Ford Fiesta in July of 2013, at Ron DuPratt Ford, in Dixon, CA.
