The owners of a 2010 Ford F150 pickup contacted the Stafford Police Department to report burglary of vehicle and theft of their pickup at their apartment complex. Unknown persons broke into girlfriend’s vehicle and stole the keys to his pickup which was parked next to her vehicle. Stafford Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford Pickup.

Later that same day Houston Police officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a large apartment complex in Southwest Houston where the vehicle was parked and abandoned. Officers processed the vehicle for prints and released back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F150 pickup in July 2011 at Texas Direct Auto, Stafford, TX
