The owner of a 2017 Ford Fusion contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen.   The owner had parked the Ford in front of his residence in the 8700 block of Big Sagebrush and had locked it prior to going into the house for the evening.  When the owner went to leave the next morning he could not find his keys and remembered dropping something as he was walking to his front door the previous night and realized that it must have been his keys.  He went outside to find his keys and found both his keys and his Ford missing.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to and apartment complex the 100 block of South Martin L King Blvd.  The Ford was unoccupied and unharmed.  It was recovered and released back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Fusion in June of 2016 at Team Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
