LoJack System Helps Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Recover Stolen Infiniti JX3 within Minutes of Activation

The owners of a 2013 Infiniti JX3 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the valet parking lot of a casino in the 9700 block of Las Vegas Blvd.  The Infiniti had been given to the valet who parked it in the parking lot and left the keys inside.  When the owners returned to the valet to retrieve their vehicle it was missing so they notified police. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

Five minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a shopping center in the 600 block of Sahara where it was located parked and unoccupied.  The Infiniti was recovered and towed for safekeeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti JX3 in May of 2012 at Infiniti of Mission Viejo, Mission Viejo, California.
