The owner of a 2002 Dodge 1500 Truck contacted the Doral Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  The City of Doral Police Department verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge 1500.

A short while later officers from the City of Miami Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from their PTCs, the officers tracked the vehicle to 10101 Flagler Street and recovered the truck.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge 1500 in September, 2002 at University Dodge in Davie, Florida.
