One LoJack-Equipped Motorcycle Aids in Recovery of 2 Other Stolen Bikes in Maryland

In the early morning hours of May 28, 2012, the owner of a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX contacted the Anne Arundel County Police Department to report the motorcycle stolen from the 400 block of Ellwell Court in Glen Burnie. After verifying the theft, Anne Arundel County officers had the Kawasaki’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers, which activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the motorcycle.

A short time later, officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department picked up the Kawasaki’s silent LoJack signal on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their police vehicles. Following the directional and audible signal on the LoJack Trackers, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 200 block of Allen Road in Glen Burnie. There, the officers located the stolen Kawasaki, along with two other motorcycles reported stolen from nearby locations. Neither of these motorcycles was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Kawasaki ZX-600 at the owner’s request in March of 2010.
