LoJack System Helps Fresno Police Department Recover Cadillac

The owner of this Cadillac contacted the Newman Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their apartment complex parking stall. The Newman Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Minutes after the LoJack was activated, an officer with the Fresno Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the vehicle to the vicinity of Third and Madison Avenues in southeast Fresno. The officer located the vehicle unoccupied and abandoned on the side of the road in a residential area. The vehicle was recovered intact and undamaged; it was released to the owner at the recovery scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in September 2002 by St. Claire Cadillac in Santa Clara, California.
