LoJack System Helps the Dallas Police Dept Recover a Stolen Lexus S430 Convertible

The owner of a 2004 Lexus S430 convertible contacted the Dallas Police Dept to report that her vehicle had been stolen.  The owner parked her vehicle in her apartment complex parking lot and when she returned to it she found it missing. She has left a spare car key in the center console.

The Dallas Police Dept verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

A short while later officers from the Dallas Police Dept picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Lexus to the 2400 block of Second Ave where they found it parked in a motel parking lot.  The Lexus was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus S430 in September of 2004 at Sewell Lexus in Dallas, TX.
