The owner of a 2007 Honda CRV contacted the Dallas Police Dept to report that her vehicle had been stolen. The owner was driving her vehicle in the 13200 block of Emily Rd when a man wearing a funny hat jumped in front of her vehicle.  The owner stopped her vehicle and when she got out of it to confront the man; another man jumped into her vehicle and drove off.

The Dallas Police Dept verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later officers from the Dallas Police Dept picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Honda to the 7400 block of Northaven Rd where they found it parked in front of a house.  The owner of the house told officers that two suspects got out of the stolen Honda and tried to enter his house.  When he refused to let them in they left on foot.  The home owner knew the name of one of the suspects, who has a criminal record.  This is an ongoing investigation.  The Honda was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda CRV in August of 2007 at Texas Direct in Grand Prairie, TX.
