LoJack System Helps East Bay Regional Parks Police Air Unit and California Highway Patrol Oakland Area Recover Stolen 2003 Infiniti G35

The owner of a 2003 Infiniti G35 contacted the San Rafael Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The San Rafael Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti G35.
A short while later, officers with the East Bay Regional Parks Police Department Air Unit in their helicopter were flying over the Richmond area when they were alerted to the stolen Infiniti G35 by the silent LoJack signal received with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the stolen Infiniti was tracked to a residential area at Willard Avenue and Fred Jackson Way in the unincorporated area of Richmond. The air unit observed the vehicle parked at the curb and the California Highway Patrol was notified. A ground patrol unit from the CHP Oakland Area responded and confirmed the vehicle was unoccupied.
The stolen Infiniti G35 was recovered by the CHP and the vehicle was towed/stored for safe keeping, to be returned to the owner.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2003 Infiniti G35 in May of 2011, at Toyota of Marin, in Marin, CA.
