LoJack System Helps the Dallas Police Dept Recover a Stolen Chevrolet Suburban

The owner of a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban contacted the Dallas Police Dept to report that his vehicle had been stolen. The owner picked up a woman and drove to a convenient store and went inside the store leaving the woman inside his vehicle with the keys in the ignition. When he returned he found the woman and his vehicle missing.
The Dallas Police Dept verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Suburban.
A short while later officers from the Dallas Police Dept picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suburban with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Suburban to a parking garage in the 6100 block of Retail Rd., where they found it parked on the second floor. In the back seat of the stolen Suburban officers found a man and a woman. Officers identified the two suspects and they were released pending further investigation. The Suburban was recovered in good condition.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Suburban in June of 2006 at El Dorado Motors in McKinney, TX.
