The owners of a 2015 Dodge R1500 Pick Up truck contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen in the city of Santa Clarita.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Within 18 minutes, officers from Desert Hot Springs Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the area of Mark street south of Ironwood Drive in the city of Desert Hot Springs.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge R1500 in May 2015 at Rydell Chrysler Jeep Dodge, San Fernando, California.
