LoJack System Helps Bladensburg Police Department Recover Stolen Suzuki GSX 750 Motorcycle

The owners of a 2011 Suzuki GS 1000 contacted the Bladensburg Police Department to report this motorcycle stolen from their home in the Bladensburg area of Prince George’s County, Maryland. Bladensburg Police dispatched an officer to the location and the officer, upon arrival obtained all the vehicle information and searched the area for the vehicle. After not locating the vehicle, a stolen vehicle report was completed. Bladensburg Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2011 Suzuki GS1000.

After a short period of time, detectives from the Washington Area Vehicle Enforcement Unit picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen 2011 Suzuki GSX 750 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the area of 10900 Poplarwood Court in the Waldorf area of Charles County, Maryland. At this location, detectives and deputies from the Charles County Sheriff’s Department located the stolen 2011 Suzuki GSX 750. Officers recovered the undamaged vehicle notified the owner.
