LoJack® System Helps Baton Rouge Police Department Recover a Stolen Lincoln Aviator

The owner of a 2004 Lincoln Aviator contacted the Baton Rouge Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.  The Baton Rouge PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lincoln Aviator.

Shortly after the activation, officers with the Baton Rouge PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lincoln with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft.  The officer was on patrol in the area of Florida Blvd and Longbow Drive where the signal was initially received.  The officer tracked the signal to an apartment complex parking lot where the Lincoln was located.  The Lincoln was found to be unoccupied and subsequently recovered on scene.  The owner was notified of the recovery and reported to the scene to be reunited with their Lincoln Aviator.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lincoln Aviator in November 2003 at Pompano Ford Lincoln in Pompano Beach, Florida.
