The owner of a 2015 Ford F150 pickup contacted the Houston Police Dept to report that his vehicle had been stolen.  The owner parked his vehicle at a hotel and when he returned to it found it missing.  The owner had left a second set of keys in the glovebox.

The Houston Police Dept verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

A short while later officers from the Houston Police Dept picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Ford pickup to a hotel parking lot several miles from where it was stolen.  Officers set up surveillance but no one was seen entering the stolen Ford pickup.  The Ford pickup was recovered in good condition.  This is an ongoing investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford pickup in May of 2015 at Chastang Ford in Houston, TX.
