The owner of a 2016 Honda accord reported his vehicle stolen. The details are as follows. He parked his vehicle by his house where he usually parks it, when he came out for it he found it missing. He immediately called the Police to report that his vehicle was stolen. This was in the Springfield gardens section of Queens, confines of the 105th precinct. When the Police responded, they prepared a written report verifying the theft. The Police then entered the vehicle information into state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System hidden in the Honda. This was done both seamlessly and automatically without any other notifications.

Shortly after the vehicle became activated members of the Queens South Auto Larceny unit picked up the silent and directional signal with the Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. They tracked the moving vehicle in the confines of the 105 precinct, as they tried to pull the vehicle over it fled at a high rate of speed with Police in pursuit. But the pursuit was immediately terminated when it reached dangerously high speeds. After desperately searching for the vehicle they located it parked, and decided to stake the vehicle out. They staked it out for an extensive period of time. However, when no returned for it they took it into custody.

The vehicle was recovered in good condition; however, there was some minor damage to it.

The owner was notified and was elated that his vehicle was recovered, even though it had minor damage on it. Saying he was certainly happy that he purchased the LoJack recovery system for his vehicle which was well worth it.

The LoJack unit was installed in the Honda Accord in March 2018 at Hillside Honda Queens, New York.

The value of the Honda Accord was approximately $16,000.00.
