The owner of a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover called the Fort Lee Police Department to report that during the night his vehicle stolen from the driveway of his home in Fort Lee. The keys were in the vehicle. The Fort Lee Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2016 Range Rover.

A short while later, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Range Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the vehicle to a North 12th Street in the City of Newark. The vehicle was located in the rear yard of a vacant home. Officers recovered the vehicle undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover in January 2016 at Prestige Land Rover, Paramus, New Jersey.
