The owner of this Hyundai Santa Fe discovered it was stolen from his residence located in the 3600 block of Bayonne Drive SE in Salem. The theft was immediately reported to the Salem Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hyundai SUV.
The Salem PD officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Hyundai with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Hyundai to the 2400 block of Mission Street SE where it was found abandoned and apparently undamaged. A suspect was identified and an arrest was pending.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hyundai Santa Fe in March 2013 at Withnell Motor Company in Salem, Oregon.
