On May 21, 2012, the owner of a 2008 Honda CMX250 reported the motorcycle stolen to the Dallas Police Department. Dallas Police verified the theft and had the Honda’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers, which activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the motorcycle.

A short while later, officers with the Dallas Police picked up the Honda’s silent LoJack homing signal on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in their vehicle. Following the directional and audible signal on the LoJack Tracker, the officers tracked the motorcycle to a detached garage of a residence. The police executed a search warrant and found the motorcycle inside the garage, along with two stolen car transmissions.  The woman living at this house gave officers the name of the suspect who brought the stolen motorcycle to her house.  An arrest warrant is pending.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed at the previous owner’s request on April 16, 2008.
