The owner of a 2007 Mercedes ML350 contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. The owner parked her Mercedes in her front driveway and when she returned to it found it missing.  The owner had a spare key in the center console.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

Later, officers from the Irving Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Mercedes to a five story parking garage in the 800 block of W Fork in Irving.  Officers found the stolen Mercedes parked on the second floor of the parking garage.  The Mercedes was recovered in good condition.  Officers are reviewing video from the parking garage to determine if a suspect can be identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mercedes ML350 in May 2010 at Mercedes Benz of Stevens Creek in San Jose, California.
